A Case of New-onset Psoriasis During Docetaxel Treatment

초록

Docetaxel is one of the most widely used cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agents, indicated for the treatment of various types of cancer. Dermatological adverse events such as hand-foot syndrome, alopecia, nail changes, and mucositis are frequently reported. However, psoriasis induced by docetaxel is very rare. Herein, we report the case of a 70-year-old patient who developed scaly erythematous plaques after one month of docetaxel chemotherapy for the treatment of stage IV lung adenocarcinoma. Histopathologic findings were consistent with psoriasis, and he was finally diagnosed with docetaxel-induced psoriasis. Skin lesions improved after docetaxel discontinuation and application of fixed combination of topical calcipotriol and betamethasone.
