가상현실 기법을 이용한 김홍도와 정선의 〈월송정(越松亭)〉 장면구성방식의 융복합적 비교 분석 연구

초록

This study begins with a comparative analysis ofthe compositional techniques in Kim Hong Do’s andJeong Seon’s paintings of Wolsongjeong in Uljin,Gyeongsangbuk-do. The purpose of the study is touse methodologies from art history and computerscience to reconstruct the area’s historicaltopography using historical maps, aerialphotographs. Additionally, this study aims toreproduce key lnadmarks such as Wolsong Fortress,Wolsongjeong Pavilion, and Gunmubong Peak as 3Dmodels to identify their observation points. Virtualcamera techniques were applied to quantify theangles of view and the degree of object distortion,enabling a comparative analysis of the two artists’scene composition methods.The results of the study are follows. First, KimHong Do faithfully depicted the observed sceneusing a bird’s-eye view technique from a vantagepoint approximately 150 meters above the hillbehind Wolsong 2-ri Village. Field investigationsand scene analysis in the virtual space confirmedthat his obervation point was the hill behindWolsong 2-ri Village. Second, Jeong Seon emphasized the significance of key landmarks andselectively composed his scene. His observationpoint is presumed to be near Namdaecheon Stream,Wolsong 2-ri Village, and Gunmubong Peak.Analysis using the Dice Similarity Coefficientrevealed that the similarity between Kim Hong Do’spainting and the scene observed through the virtualcamera was approximately 86%. This finding confirmsthat Kim Hong Do employed a one-point perspectivetechnique, accurately depicting the observed scene.Based on the these results, this study suggests thatthe use of virtual reality techniques in analyzingJingeong sansuhwa (true-view landscape paintings)opens new possibilities for art historical and computerscience research.
