면역억제자에서 발생한 메치실린 내성 황색포도상구균에 의한 비첨 농양

초록

Nasal abscesses are uncommon and most frequently develops in the nasal septal space. Nasal tip abscess is rarely encountered and there have been no well-documented reports of it. Nasal abscesses occur most commonly after minor nasal trauma. As a result of nasal abscess, lethal complications such as cavernous sinus thrombophlebitis, meningitis, intracranial abscess, and sepsis may occur. We experienced a rare case of nasal tip abscess caused by Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) in a immunocompromised patient with history of long-term use of corticosteroids. Therefore, we present this case with a brief review of the literature.
