초록

Chromosomal gains and losses play the major role in human primary ovarian carcinomas. In this study, CGH (Comparative Genomic Hybridization) was performed to evaluate chromosomal changes in human ovarian carcinomas from paraffin-embedded tissue blocks by modified Kallioniemi's protocol (1994). DNA was extracted from 20 cases of specimen diagnosed histopathologically-as 10 cases of serous adenocarcinoma, 6 cases of mucinous adenocarcinoma, 2 cases of clear cell carcinoma, and 2 cases of endometrioid adenocarcinoma. In thirteen cases of the 20 samples; varying degree of genetic imbalances was observed. Of the remaining 7 cases, two revealed normal; five failed to yield a result. Our results have shown many chromosomal alterations in human ovarian carcinomas and can be useful data for screening chromosomal changes and molecular mechanism of human ovarian carcinogenesis.
