정상 및 종양성 연골조직의 표피성장 인자, erbB-2, c-myc, 및 c-H-ras 산물표현에 관한 면역세포화학적 연구

초록

Chondroid tumors, benign and malignant, as well as normal cartilage were stained immunocytochemically with antibodies raised to a synthetic peptide from the c-erbB-2, c-myc, c-H-ras proteins and epidermal growth factor(EGF). The cases of chondroid tumor were 8 cases of chondrosarcoma. 8 cases of osteochondroma. 5 cases of chondroblastoma. and 5 cases of enchondroma. The results obstained were as follows : 1. Antibody from EGF protein showed no stainings on the normal and neoplastic chondroid cells. on the other hand positive staining on the tumor cells and metaplastic cartilage in the osteosarcoma. 2. Antibody from c-myc protein showed nuclear positive stainings on marginal portions of tracheal cartilage, entire portions of chondrosarcomas, superficial portions of cartilage cap in osteochondromas, tumor cells and giant cells of chondrobalstomas, tumor cells of enchondromas and metaplastic cartilage in 3 cases of osteogenic sarcomas. 3. Antibody from c-H-ras showed no staining on the most of cases used, except focal positive stainings in two cases of chondrosarcomas and one case of osteochondroma, and two cases of enchondroma. With the above results. antibody from EGF protein can be used to differentiate the chondrosarcoma from osteosarcoma in which cartilagenous component is rich and meaning of positive staining with antibody from c-myc protein on chondroid tissue and chondroid tumors seemed merely cell proliferation. 4. c-neu/erbB-2 oncoprotein revealed no reaction on the normal and neoplastic chondroid tissues used.
