Korean Multicenter Registry of Endovascular Aneurysmal Repair With INCRAFT Stent Graft for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

Background The INCRAFT stent graft system (Cordis) is a trimodular, bifurcated, ultra-low-profile device designed for endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). It is suited to addressing the challenges of small access vessels and complex vascular anatomies. Methods This multicenter study, both prospective and retrospective registry, evaluated the efficacy and safety of the INCRAFT stent graft system in the treatment of AAA among Korean patients. Between September 2019 and August 2023, the study included 115 patients: 62 from the prospective cohort and 53 from the retrospective registry. Postprocedural follow-up involved computed tomography (CT) imaging at 1 month and 1 year post procedure to check aneurysm dimensions and detect any endoleak. Results The mean age of patients was 71.4 ± 7.3 years, with the majority being male (92.2%). The average maximal aortic sac diameter was 53.3 ± 8.6mm. Technical success was achieved in 93.9% of cases, and major vascular complication rate within 30 days was 0.9%. At 1-year follow-up, there were no aneurysm-related deaths and 2 cases of reintervention were recorded. Aneurysm shrinkage and enlargement occurred in 36.5% and 7.0% of the patients, respectively. Type II endoleaks were present in 22.6% of the patients and Type I and III endoleaks were found in 0.9%, each, at the 1-year follow-up. Conclusion The INCRAFT system has demonstrated a high rate of procedural success and a favorable safety profile in the treatment of AAA among the Korean population, with a low rate of aneurysm-related events at 1-year follow-up.
