Augmented reality based bridge information system using smartphone

초록

Augmented reality is the technology which combines a virtual world and a real world. Nowadays a variety of studies in many areas related to augmented reality have been carried out. The construction industry is being watched in the utilization of augmented reality because all work in the construction industry is conducted from the basis of the complicated design and facilities. In this paper, we propose a bridge information system (BIS) based on augmented reality that a smart-phone provides the information of a bridge. In our system, a user is able to retrieve the information of the bridge anytime and anywhere. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media.
