Vitamin E와 고지방식이가 마우스간 및 그 Fat Storing Cell에 미치는 영향에 관한 조직학적 및 조직화학적 연구
초록
This experiment was attempted to investigate the effect of vitamin E to the fat metabolism of liver. Adult albino mice were fed with high fat-low protein diet for 5 weeks, beside half of them were injected with vitamin E on a daily dose of 5㎎ for same period. In the functional changing process of liver, the morpholgical finding of the liver parenchymal cell, Kupffer's stellate cell and special reference to the fat storing cell and their relationship were studied. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. In the mice fed with high fat-low protein diet induced marked fatty liver formation within 4 weeks, however, it was suppressed by vitamin E administration significantly. 2. The function of liver cell went down according to the increment of fat content. On the contrary, in the fat storing cell, the amount of contained fat decreased with decline of liver cell function. 3. It is confirmed that the fact fat storing cell not phagocyte but synthesize and stock the fat. 4. It appears that the fat storing cell produced the fibrous element in the lobule of the liver. 5. High fat diet feeding facilitated the increment of body weight definitely but it is restricted by vitmin E administration, so it could be maintained similar state with standard diet group.
