Comparison of Clinical Outcomes Between Single- and MultiVessel Disease in Patients Presented With ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction: 10-Year Follow-Up Results

초록

Background There are very limited long-term clinical outcome data comparing single-vessel and multivessel disease in ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients. The authors sought to compare the prognosis of single- and multivessel STEMI patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) during 10-year clinical follow-up periods. Methods The outcomes of 1,216 consecutive patients with STEMI who underwent PCI with single-vessel (n = 943) or multivessel (n = 273) were enrolled. After propensity score matching (PSM), 2 PSM groups (184 pairs) were generated. The study endpoints were individual and composite clinical outcomes up to 10 years. Results After PSM, the significant differences between the 2 groups were not observed, so the matching was well performed. During the 10-year follow-up period, the cumulative incidence of total death, cardiac death, myocardial infarction (MI), revascularization, target lesion revascularization (TLR), target vessel revascularization (TVR), stroke, major adverse cardiac events (MACE), TLR MACE, and major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) were similar between the 2 groups (Table 1). Conclusion In our single-center, all-comer registry, single- and multivessel STEMI patients showed similar outcomes during 10-year follow-up periods.
