Extensive tooth loss can lead to the loss of posterior support, resulting in decreased occlusal vertical dimension (OVD), overeruption due to the absence of opposing teeth, and restricted inter-arch space. These changes can limit the restorative space and cause difficulties in achieving both functional and esthetic aspects of full-mouth rehabilitation. This case report describes a patient with multiple tooth loss and overeruption who exhibited insufficient restorative space, where diagnostic analysis indicated that a conventional prosthetic approach alone would not provide adequate space. Therefore, the OVD was increased and alveoloplasty was performed to obtain sufficient inter-arch space, which restored both function and esthetics. This case suggests that, in patients with restricted inter-arch space, the combination of prosthetic and surgical intervention can be an effective and predictable strategy for full-mouth rehabilitation.
