Abstract
Since the introduction of robotic surgery, many experienced surgeons have appreciated this new technique in complex procedures with more precision, flexibility and control. Gastrectomy is a procedure that can emphasize the benefits of robotic surgery. This review article will discuss the advantages of robotic surgery in the treatment of gastric cancer. However, a well-designed prospective randomized control trial is needed regarding the long-term outcomes.
