  • Clinical and Molecular Hepatology(CMH), an official journal of The Korean Association for the Study of the Liver, is issued quarterly and published in English. The title of the journal is abbreviated to ‘Clin Mol Hepatol’. It was initially published by the name of The Korean Journal of Hepatology as the formal scientific journal of the KASL in 1995, and has been renamed as Clinical and Molecular Hepatology since its June edition in 2012. The aim of journal is to provide a forum for medical doctors and basic scientists working in the field of hepatology and to contribute to the improvement of public health through a multidisciplinary approach by sharing advanced basic and clinical research results for various diseases of the liver and biliary tract. The journal present up-to-date coverage of basic and clinical researches on molecular and cell biology, pathophysiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of the various diseases of the liver and biliary tract, with special attention to more common liver diseases of the Asian-Pacific region such as B viral hepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, meta-analysis, randomized controlled studies, introduction to new technology for diagnosis and treatment, public education, and clinical practice guidelines are welcome for publication. Also priority is given to epidemiological studies of the diseases of the liver and biliary tract in East Asia, North Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, Southwest Asia, Pacific, Africa, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Central America, and South America. Clinical and Molecular Hepatology(CMH) publishes original papers, case reports, reviews, editorials, and liver image and pathology. All of the submitted papers are peerreviewed, and the decision would be informed to the readers within three weeks. It has been cited in KoreaMed, KoMCI, Directory of Open Access Journals, MEDLINE/Index Medicus, PubMed, EMBASE, Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), and Scopus.
